To be Holy and Whole
When caring for the individual on their journey of faith, the desire is for wholeness. In all aspects of our life and witness we want to reflect the image of God. To do this, CYA leans on the wisdom of our Church and how it forms Priests. We believe the four dimensions of Priestly formation are key to helping young adults realize and live their own identity in Christ
The Four Dimensions of Formation
Human
The dimension of Human formation allows a person freedom to be who they truly are in God’s design. Through human formation young adults can grow in their friendships, their passions, and their virtues.
Spiritual
The dimension of Spiritual formation builds that sense of interior life for a person. Fostering that interior life ranges from a love of the Eucharist to being disciplined in a rhythm of prayer. This grows in conjunction with both the intellect and the pastoral dimension.
Intellectual
The dimension of Intellectual formation realizes a person’s desire for knowledge and wisdom to better love God. Through diving into what has been revealed to us, young adults grow in understanding and can in turn, can develop their interior life even more.
Pastoral
The dimension of Pastoral formation is the practical element of being a disciple. Through this, young adults grow in their ability to serve others, be compassionate to those they encounter and proclaim the good news always.
Do not let them exploit your youth to promote a shallow life that confuses beauty with appearances.
